In 2023, over 11,000 Americans will die from stomach cancer, and more than 30,000 will be diagnosed. The population in the United States continues to get more diverse, and nearly half of the population identifies as non-Hispanic white. Stomach cancer also is on the rise (67% increase) in young adults aged 25-39 years..The NCI has identified outreach and engagement by community-based efforts as a critical piece to advance public awareness and advocacy.
This inaugural event aims to not only honor the memory of Mark Aguirre, it will also raise awareness and funding for research and support of Stomach Cancer patients. Funds raised will go to Hope for Stomach Cancer and City of Hope’s Gastric Cancer Patients.

Silverado Resort
The Silverado Resort holds a special place in our hearts and we could not imagine honoring Mark’s memory at a more appropriate location.
